Object dock ? i dont get it...

My object dock just sits at the bottom of the screen, removing the start-menu bar at the bottom (dunoo what its called, its the one with the start button and systray)
ive seen lots of screenshots with people with like 4 docks, 1 at the bottom, 1 at top, left and right, how do you do that ? also, im running quite many programs from the systray, like dc++, mirc, msn, etc etc, how do i get the systray icons into object dock ? i cant access these programs with the object dock on since it "steals" my start menu...

You can go into the program and put the dock at the top or the sides. You choose. Mirc can go on the dock. Havent figured out how to put MSN messenger on it yet.

You can also configure it so it doesn't turn off the "Windows Task Bar". In the settings go to Dock contents and uncheck the "Hide Windows Task Bar" box.

so thats the only way to get it to work properly ?
i would have thought that the whole point of the object dock was to replace the task bar...

I thought there was a systray docklet or some such.

I just use it for icons,I dont want to hide my beautiful taskbar.

I answered this on the other board too but thats ok
Are any of you using DesktopX as well? I just made a new DX object and set it to be the systray, I'm using this background https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=3&SkinID=2314 to blend in my with docks.

One thing I was wondering about though, it seems like you should just be able to make a new shortcut on the dock to systray.exe and have it launch, but nothing happens when I tried that. Anyone know why?

For now you either need DesktopX tray object or ObjectBar tray to use the system tray with ObjectDock. Eventually there will be tray support with the dock, but not now.
