Start up: Sometimes Fences kicks in and sometimes it doesn't

XP/SP3; Fences free.  Every time before shutting down my computer, I make sure the only desktop icons that show are ones I have excluded from hiding; i.e., I invoke Fences if necessary.  At the next start up, about half the time Fences kicks in and half the time it doesn't, i.e., all desktop icons show.  Since it didn't seem to be that way when first installed, I'm wondering what might have changed.  I use Autoruns and everything labeled Fences is checked.  Thanks,

Btw, the Search box at this forum site isn't responding here.

The fences should be in the state they were in when you shut down. Try uninstalling Fences completely and then run the file below:

Once you do this, reboot and reinstall the latest version through Impulse.

Hi,

When it does not "kick-in" and you right click on the desktop, does the menu have "Enable Fences" listed?
