Campaign 01 Relias 25 Crystals to go

Hi,

i know that some people in earlier versions of the game had the same problem, i already tried all of the given hints without success.

At the moment i stuck in the mission where i have to kill an ogre first and then i have to harvest 25 crystals to deliver them to the capitar state... .

Well i already built my citys on several positions, killed the ogre by magic, didnt moved my hero until i had 300 crystals and even traded all the crystals to the state.. i can not finisch the objective, doenst matter what i try.

Well, this sucks, anyone has a clue to get rid of this mess?

Thanks and Regards

You have to send a unit to Capitar. You can even do it with caravans from said crystal city if you wish it to make sense.

Ok I fail to do that too.

What is Capitar`? There is a city called Altos, and a fort. When I walk with my units to the city, nothing. When I walk to the fort, it says some "hold his sword and get the crystal" thing, and blocks me. I have plenty of crystals, but how do I bring them? I sent all sort of units.

Can someone please tell me exactly what to do? I am lost.

Thx.

The manual should've been better written & be able to answer questions like this.

Well I know for a fact that caravans works, and I'm told that any unit would do... although I haven't actually tried (no reason to replay the campaign).

Having said that, I believe some people had bugs in earlier versions where some campaign triggers wouldn't work correctly because of some failure in load/save. Not sure if that problem is back or if this is a new one.

If caravans doesn't work for you, I'd say it's a good idea to make a post about it in the support forum.

I am having the exact same problem - have tried all the suggested solutions in this post and other posts I have found from the search box.

Not entirely related, but do you know you can ignore blocked tiles in the campaign using game features? This was done in v1.07 I think, although I doubt it was fixed. I found the campaign to be more fun this way, anyways :P

1- Design a unit with pioneer kit (pioneers aren't available in campaign, I guess to disable city creation)

2- Put a city close to the blocked tiles

3- You can now "break" blocked tiles ( I think by building, then demolishing, it has been some time since I played). This includes an overland wall, that can be found eventually

4- You can use the extended influence to teleport over it.

5- Eventually your influence can take over improvements of all other factions, even those right next to their capital.

Good luck with your cityspam!

Thanks for all the replies... i sent before another time after i had the 25 crystals to capitar state. For me, the mission is simply broken and the campaign seems to end there... great .  :(

This is the second game  in nearly 16 years of computer gaming where i can not finish the solo campaign. A shame it hits Stardock. :(

But beyond the bugs its still a great game, hope they can fix it asap... .

Capitar is a nation. Can't recall what the name of the town is in campaign. The one you went to before founding your mine. Make sure you have 25 crystals and send a unit to their capital. I hope it isn't a bug that's stopping your progress.

Well I have way more than 25, but in my list. Is there a way to let a unit carry it?

It is, alas indeed stopping my progress.

When I went through the campaign, gathering the crystals was automatic--they didn't have to be "sent" to Capitar.  I killed the Ogre where the sovereign of capital told me to go, built a city there exactly where the pioneer from Capitar was placed, then when the city grew I laid down a mine on the nearby crystal tile, and when the crystal count reached 25 it automatically triggered success.

i'm stuck on the same mission......and when should I be able to research spells and find scholars to research technology?

this game is quickly turning into a waste of 50 bucks.

Research is disabled in the campaign. Try playing a non-camaign game if you want research.

Check and see if you have a campaign save entitled END OF CHAPTER IV or something along those lines.

Chapter IV is the region with the trolls in the swamp.  For some reason, I somehow managed to fail to complete it, but got chapter V started.  I am pretty sure that I failed because I did not go back to the city with the quest giver in it (near where you get the bowmen).

Anyhow, I am reloading at END OF CHAPTER III and I am not going to the area with the crystal mine until I am told to leave :)  Hopefully this will correct the problem.

EDIT:  I was not able to trigger an End of Chapter IV save and the counter for hitting 25 crystals is not resulting in the completion of the quest.  The campaign is pretty much over for me until this gets resolved.

This is a phenomenally weak solution to the problem of limiting player capabilities in each chapter of the campaign.  Just set up a way to limit research to a certain level.

Sorry guys, there was a performance fix for 1.09 where an event was borderline spamming the trigger system, but unfortunatly it broke this bit of the campaign. The fix has been made internally and will be released in the next patch (this Thursday, if things go well).
