changin individual icons

how do i change individual icons on my desktop i tried right clicking on the and choosing customize then went to the icon package i wanted but when clicking on it there and applying changes nothing happens I am a new user to Icon Packager and would apreciate any help I can get Thnaks

You can change your individual icons by right-clicking on the shortcut you wish to change -> Properties -> Change Icon.
