Me and two friends of mine bought Demigod the last week. We are playing against the AI and each other atm. Maybe we will play some public games in the future.

Well - for me personally, I think I pulled in about every one of my pc gaming pals, so I don't think there's really anyone left for me to refer.  I certainly like the idea and hope other folks might have some friends they could recruit.  Worst case, it could result in a thread where we post our demigod codes for people to use and we'd likely increase the player base a little with that.  I certainly appreciate your thoughtfulness on this at any rate.  Thanks!

I still say that Demigod is worth $5. :shrug: Currently none of my friends are too interested in the genre or game anymore, but I think that the game is fantastic. I just can't play at the moment due to other things

Making the game even cheaper than that might be a way to infuse more life in the game, but I really think that the game needs patches over coupons. Uberfix integration is #1 on my wish-list of things that I would like (see the pinned thread in the mods forum).

Well, Stardock views PC games somewhat differently than most publishers and studios. It's not a matter of revival. A good game, and Demigod IS a good game, can be a valuable thing for many years if it gets some level of support. If we were allowed to code on Demigod, we'd be doing regular updates even now to it. Unfortunately, we can't, but we'll do everything we can to help the community.

I brought a few friends with the earlier offers in.  I'd be happy to do the same again.

It really is a great game, but it didn't really addict me until I started playing multiplayer.  I haven't logged in for a while, but that's only due to lack of time.

I like the game but I suck at the online game and the razing from players because you suck dose not help the cause to keep the game going for some . With that rant out of the way what are some good links to learn to play the game online.

Should still be pretty accurate. The meta has been more-or-less the same since roughly ... February or March of 2010 (I believe).

Is a resource with all the abilities and items in the game. Most of the raw numbers should be up to date. Most of the "guides" are terribly terribly out of date and you should ignore them completely (they prioritize speed stacking and damage dealing, for the most part, which is a great way to fail nowadays). But it'll help you get a better grasp of the numbers in the game so you can understand what someone means when they are yelling at you for not having Shield III, etc.  

I think the only way it will ever get the treatment it deserves is from a sequal. Hopefully Chris Taylor will do it after Kings & Castles. The bottom line is the multiplayer connection system is flawed and I don't think this can be fixed by a patch. It would be great to see the uber fix mod incorperated in to the game as this, i've heard fixes a lot of the issues (still get priests stuck in citadel) grrrrr. GPG wouldn't even need to do any work for this mod as it's already up and running, just bolt it on as a patch. A portion of the people playing the game also only play on Vent and I can understand this but it reduces the pool of players in the bog standard lobby even further. I would play on vent but i'm just not in to the voice communication thing.

Hope Elemental is going a bit smoother for you Brad. I bought it anyway!

GPG should give the sourcecode to Stardock. GPG abandoned the game a long time ago. Maybe you Stardock guys would find some time between the Elemental (I like E:WoM very much) patches and addons to give demigod some love.

Yup - AI Skirmish mod.  Its certainly much better than the vanilla AI.  Give it a go if you haven't tried it yet. 

I'll be jumping on again to see if I can get in soem newb games. 
Haven't played in awhile and I was never quite up to the clan level...  but the game is still a blast.

The big problem is that you need to have some time to devote to getting a game going.  I know this is just what it is but when I wanto to get on and play a game I don't always have the patience to sit through the lobby and wait.

I want to give it a go again though.  Hopefully Tobear and company, and sahd (among others) will be on looking for games as well

Not many people play in pantheon. At least I think so (I played it only once to test... and didn't like it)

Custom games are much much better and you can create your own rules, form teams, etc. Instead of killing some random new player with closed eyes in pantheon.
