How long will it be before the game is up to the level of quality of galciv 2?

I don't want this sound bad, but how long will it be before the game is of the quality of galciv 2? I.e. where the game does not crash, does not suffer performance problems, where the AI is respectable, where the UI is usable, and when the game is more or less balanced?

Thanks

About the time we live in spaceships like in GalCiv 2 ?     Sorry, couldn't resist.  I'd bet more like 6 months.

I found myself originally saying 6 months, but I'm starting to wonder seriously given the backwards steps taken in 1.08.

Hard to give estimates in such matters. Its as well can be 'never'.

Brad and team don't have solid game design in mind, so maybe they will step on something great, maybe they will ruin whatever fun this game had.

They plan to change many mechanics of the game, and we have to play these changes first before judging the result. Brad said first big change will go in Oct.

I think Elemental has already surpassed GC2, at least before GC2 had released any expansions.  I and most people rarely get crashes to desktop, the AI is respectable, the UI is most certainly "usable", and I haven't seen much problem in the way of balance.

GC2 had years of love updates and expansions to get where it is now, I'm afraid Elemental won't reach it's full potential overnight but I'm already kind of enjoying it despite it's  faults.
