khaled: I dont use any kind of special filter to make glassy stuff, gaussian blur takes care of them.

Not so much filters, but actions. Visit
http://www.actionxchange.com
Plan on spending a few hours there. Use the search function to narrow down your choices.

Also a word of warning if you're new to Photoshop. Myself, along with 99% of anyone else that's ever learned photoshop initially gets so caught up in playing with filters that it takes forever to get around to actually learning Photoshop itself. Filters are a great tool if not abused, but most of the great effects you see are achieved without the use of filters through techniques such as blending and masking. Not only that, but most of the worthwhile filters (KPT, Eyecandy etc) are kind of pricey. Anyone that fell into this initial Photoshop trap will back what I'm saying, my apologies if you're not new to Photoshop, but sound advice for anyone that is.

Listen to AJ and do check out the ActionXChange, not just to find interesting effects, but also to pick them apart and see how they're done.

Do these filters atrophy through lack of use?
Just once, I wanted a lens-flare, and PHP wouldn't let me....
I guess there's a message in that for all of us....hehe...

Actually photoshop club will offer you the "adequte apple plastic" and the ORIGINAL apple plastic.
Both are good, one has so many more steps.
The whole site rocks. I spent so much time there one day I couldn't believe it.
