1.08 or 1.08b

I downloaded what according to impulse is Ver 1.08b Beta last night before it was officially listed that 1.08 was released. I understand now that ver 1.08 is released but when i open impulse or the game it says it is up to date and no new upgrades are available.

I'm convused?  is there a difference between 1.08 and the "Beta" that i downloaded?  When i start the game in the lower left corner it says 1.08 but when i open impulse it says elemental is using 1.08b Beta.

Two names for the same thing ir am i not able to update to 1.08 through impulse for some reason?

1.08 is 1.08 without multiplayer.

1.08b BETA is 1.08 with multiplayer.

If you have 1.08b, you are up to date including the multiplayer.

What's the deal with the slipstream then?  Will we see an update to 1.08c or has it been updated behind the scenes?  I got 1.08b last night, not sure about what that slipstream post was about.  Game I started last night still had organized in it, at 20 pts.

Logged in and got a splashscreen with an update.  DL'd the update and it is different.   I still had organized, but as "forced march" from a mod.  Didn't select it (first time) and its a very different game with 15 mana teleport and slow moving sov.   Made my base footsoldiers move 3 at least, slightly more expensive but can at least usually cover 2 tiles.

bow 100% miss bug, teleport raised to 15 cost, removed organized trait...anything else to DISSUADE one from upgrading?  I regret having upgraded to 108b.

 

Stopping play on Elemental until the next patch....again.

Ouch - lucky I haven't used bows in a bit.  Also never knew about Organized so only the 15 mana bites atm.
