Labeling the Map

During development Frogboy stated we would be able to label stuff on our maps:

"...at the cloth map level, you’ll be able to label the world as you see fit. Give deserts and swamps and forests names. It’s purely cosmetic but it’s about making the world yours."

Is this a planned feature still?  Obviously it shouldn't be a high priority, but it still sounded pretty cool at the time for the immersion factor.  I could see how it would be a lot of fun to use this during multi-player matches where your friends could see that your settlements were located beyond the Dunes of Insanity, near the Forest of Ghosts or some other clever name that you made up.

This is a great idea! Allow us to create, edit, delete and move labels around the cloth map.

If you read through that whole thread, you'll see a lot of suggestions on how to implement this in multi-player.  Most agreed that labels created during matches would be persistently shared among all players.  However, the power to label the map would be limited to the landmarks that fell only within your faction's Zone of Control.

I'd rather  be able to do a simple spraypaint of ground textures in my own territory.  That would be fun.
