I get to the load screen, but then nothing happens, the bar stays empty with no load or start. I can setup everything pregame, but Sins goes unresponsive at load screen. This just recently started to happen. Never had a problem before. Vista x64 OS. Anyone else experiencing this issue lately? Thanks in advance.
do you have a mod active?
also try reinstalling the game, maybe something went snap (not normally an issue, but it couldn't hurt)
No mods installed. But I believe you're right in that I should reinstall the game. Thanks Ryat.
I discovered that when starting a game at the load screen it hangs up on the /Sins of a Solar Empire/Mesh/Tradeship_Tech.mesh file. Would this be a full reinstall problem, or is it fixable without reinstall? Thanks.
I think Impulse has a fix feature on it. But aside from that, having the original disk maybe your only answer short of complete reinstall.

Hmm...now I'm able to load a game, but now, shortly after launch the game hangs and gives a minidump. I sent an email to ironclad tech support with the attached minidump file and DxDiag. Hopefully, they can shed some light on the matter. It's just odd that all of a sudden after playing smoothly for months that I now can't even get out of the gate. The only change to my system that I can think of is I recently added a external Seagate backup drive just prior to the start of the problem.
