Using Transport/boat

I have seen it mentioned in previous posts that it is difficult/impossible to get a unit to disembark from a transport at a beach tile.  I have also had this problem...neither ejecting nor right clicking on the unit and left clicking on the beach tile seems to work...so this part is just a "me too" as the devs seem to keep count of times things mentioned.

Even if this gets rectified (or we figure out what we are doing wrong!), there is still one issue I wanted to point out - many players seem to like to play at the cloth map level.  The trouble with this is that you can not identify beach tiles from this view, so have to constantly zoom in to see where you can land a boat, then zoom back out to continue playing.  I think it would be beneficial to have markers for beach tiles (just as you can see quest locations and notable locations) that show where the beach tiles are from the cloth map view, as well as perhaps some "glow" indicator of their location from the zoomed-in map, as well.

Part of the problem is that there are places that look like beaches that aren't.  You have to mouse over and see beach to be sure, but it is a failing of the game right now that beach areas aren't completely obvious.   There also aren't that many of them, but that's a different issue.

You have a valid point on the cloth map play...

While the UI IS clunky, the debarkation/embarkation works for me.  I think you need to move the ship onto the Beach tile the select the units and move them either onto the ship I use a center MAST BASE to clik on since the ship graphic actually overhangs the tile and it seems the cursor tip must be within the screen pixels of the tile to actually be selected.

Hope this tip helps you out!

Can a sovereign cast in a boat? I never used them, but if you could, then you should be able to lower land and make a beach and do a magic sneak attack to the enemy's capital.

After alot of trying, I have finally been able to disembark units from transports. Park the ship next to a beach tile, left click on the unit on the ship to select and then Right click on the beach tile to unload. The problem is that you only seem to be able to do this one unit at a time and when you disembark one unit it switches to its info so you always have to go back and re-select the boat to disembark the next unit. Pain in the ass when you have a boatload of units >:(

Also, i have noticed that line indicating the beach/unloadable tiles in cloth mode, are smoother(straighter?) than the tiles you can't unload on (which are more curvy). You may wanna try and check out the shore and see for yourself if you can begin to see the difference.

Transports defenitely need an unload button or something.
