How to install mods?

How do you install mods (Please post an example in full) as I followed what I could find but it wont work for me. PS using Windows XP if it makes a difference.

There are actually more than a few ways to get Mods working in your game atm. You'll notice many of the ones posted here for download have varing install instructions. None of the install ways will work though unless you go into your "Options" and check the box that says "Use Mods". Do that first, then follow the install instructions on one of the mods, then let us know how that works for you ;).

Hope that helps some as I don't have the time right this second to get more specific.

I Made a mod folder and put the mod in it as instructed, and the mods are enabled, but nothing.

All I need is the FOLDER that they should be in, IE where should this "mod folder" be docs the "game folder" or somewhere else?.

 

NM found it, why is there nothing saying the Mod folder in the App folder, when with everything else is found in my Doc.

If you are feeling lucky, and need a quick short term solution, you can edit the /data/english files directly. They will get changed back the next time you update though.

Manual? That epic book of fail that has so much data missing for basic game play you expect people to go there 1st?

Next to the bugs and AI issues I find the manual to be the next most disappointing thing about the game..
