Poll: What do you play when you need a break from elemental?

I'm finding that the game can get a little dry after an hour or so and some of the UI and bugs can build up frustration and I need another game to play to balance this one out.

What do you play when you need a break from Elemental?

I'm playing Batman Arkham Asylum.  It's the perfect counterbalance to elemental.

Team Fortress 2 for mindless fragging action

Starcraft 2 (when I don't get dropped - stupid Battle.net)

Interesting. I have also been playing Batman.

I play everything BUT Elemental, while it gets patched to a playable and or balanced state. (either is good enough)
Distant Worlds, Lego Batman (free bundle copy, might as well, right?), Tales of Vesperia, Victoria 2.
Also been faffin around in Soul Calibur IV that i found collecting dust in my shelf, forgot i had it lol. Its awesomely deep once you give it a try. I remember when i first bought it, i sucked and ragequit. Now, yesterday when playing it the first time since then, i rocked, pulled off every combo, even the advanced ones :D

Its funny, sometimes your brain has some sort of re-wiring that makes you insta-good at some games, and sometimes you get insta-bad at others, like you gain and loose skillpoints, in real life. Lol

Something 100% different, like SC2 or League of Legends.

Open Beta for Final Fantasy 14 starts tonight, i am debating joining in. Swore I was done with MMO's till at least star wars launches but this thing looks kinda promising after running the benchmark tool for it.

I was considering playing Master of Magic again to see how much of what I remember of that game is really being filtered through rose colored optical implants, but I'm not sure if I can stomach DOS emulation or a screen rez suitable for a pocket calculator.

I was going to say "solitaire", but I think you covered it better.

Also WoW.

I've been playing the hell out of MoM. Ye ancient graphics are offputting for about an hour and then you don't really notice them anymore.

have recently got Stainless Steel 6.3 for Medieval 2 Total War. it's the game it should have been all along.

while i love the idea of elemental, the game still doesn't seem fun. i mostly just play it so that i can discuss it on here.

new third age total war is also good, although i have problems finding a faction i really want to play. rhun are great bu too easy, the conditions for arnor are ridiculous, gondor too obvious and most of the rest are far too militia-y for my liking. i don't find much fun in running around with huge amounts of naff light troops. funnily enough, it makes me want to play elemental!

Supreme Commander 2 and League of Legends.  I play tower defense on Sup Com 2 - you take a 4v4 AI on hard - land only, on the land bridge map, then only build towers up the middle and see how long you can hold out.  I've made it a little over an hour, but eventually the mass of experimentals is impossible to bring down.

I'm done with Elemental til performance issues are dealt with.  The rest of the mess I can forgive or work around, but the game performance I can't tolerate.

Well, there's also the issue of missing a decade and a half of genre improvements, too.  I wouldn't want to play Civ 1 anymore, either.

I recently picked up HOMM 3 from GOG, and I just simply did not enjoy that game nearly as much as I remember when I originally played it, for reasons beyond graphics.  It just seemed really shallow.

So I'm trying to work up my constitution.

It's been league of legends for me.

I've been playing NetHack. Seriously, try it, or at least try the Vulture's Eye add on with better graphics, it's the most in-depth and interesting dungeon crawler I've ever played. And it's legally free!

Mount & Blade:Warband, Solium Infernum, and various game demos.

I'm not missing them at all.

SC2 until Elemental is patched, at least to the point that mouse scroll wheel zooming works properly.

I am doing Civ4:BOTS with Fall from Heaven 2.

Field of Glory. Lot of Euro's and avid miniature gamers there. Very good folks multiplayer, easy to setup a match and meet someone from the other side of the world.

I've been playing some S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat with the Call From Pripyat mod.  Also, some team Starcraft 2 with friends.
