The AI Can cheat! (okay no not really but still)

Okay now that I have your attention I've hit a brick wall, I can't actually win this game now, The enemy throws whole companys flanked with multible catapults and weapons I can only dream of, They can field armies faster than I can replenish my own battered solders, all is lost.

I'm not the White faction here.

 

Just look at that, I mean it's biblical, the Ythrill is larger than every other nation combined... I had to call them up and ask how they did it, I mean night infinite armies, massive cities and holdings, concubines, slaves, vast displays of wealth beyond measure! How is he doing it?

 

Oh....

 

He's in debt up to his eyeballs!!!!

 

Seriously look at it, he's almost 25k in the red here, it seems like the bug in question is that, like building slots, once you hit the negitives you can just keep going, or at least in this case the AI can just keep going once he tanks his economy so baddly that no one would loan him cash.

While this does make for an interesting political take on the current global economy it's also blatantly unfair and makes the game unwinnible when the AI is in the situation where he can just keep building forever without slowing down.

Also... Lord hammers by turn 50? Really Stardock?

The AI can go negative cash and food big time. I've not looked at other resources, it would probably upset me too much...

Yes he cheating. On that windows i found a bug, when the other faction have negative gildar amount, i bought their all resources they had almost 2500 materials. I destroyed their towns and when i watch +20 rounds later their political screen they had again almost 2500 materials again with one small town. LOL

I've been in the red but only when by accident I recruited a stack of heroes instead of just the one I was trying for.

Yep, I seen it to, here's the thing Stardock, Brad..whoever if I can't do it the AI shouldn't be able to do it.. that's just sloppy coding, not realistic at all please fix.

1.07 didn't fix...i had the same thing happen on easy level...Kraxis has slowly walked all over everyone  in the game w/ overnight armies +1000 combat rating.  Kind of ridiculous...makes it hard to even want to play again.

Does anyone know if it's just a random occurence or will it happen to one AI player every game?

i'm playing a game right now on novice and according to the kingdom report Umber's net income is -4772 gildar, yet the wages keep going up (right now it's at 4918). i had a gildar leak, was down to 50 gildar and couldn't build ANYTHING, yet the Umber are spitting out companies of troops with lord hammers.  oh..also their power rating is 22885.  If i speak to the leader, it shows Umber as having -501248 gildar, on the diplomacy screen.

with that much money loss, those troops should be deserting and cities should be rebelling, halting production.  How can i compete?

Yeah I just played a big game too, and Kraxis steamrolled EVERYONE with a gigantic army. It was like 50 turns into the game, and he'd city spammed AND gone into huge debt.

 

I quit. there was no hope.
