Calling all Sins strategy experts!

Are you a master of Sins?  Do you revel in your deep understanding of the game's strategy?  Can you thump the Unfair AI with one hand tied behind your back?  Do you want to take Sins gaming to the next level?

If so, this might be a great weekend to try Sins in online multiplayer against real human opponents.  Come experience a greater challenge against players who won't suicide their fleets on your starbases or do other strategically silly things.  Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take hours upon hours to play Sins online because most games don't last for more than 1.5 hours and in a locked team game you only need to take down one player, not all nine of them (because you have allies matching up one-to-one to handle the rest).  On the Diplomacy expansion you can often find 4v4s and 5v5s, which adds a new element of team-based strategy to the game.

If you're still scared of playing other people, you can ease into it and get your feet wet by playing comp stomps with other people against AIs, but I bet that eventually you'll be tempted to join a game with only human players.

Most Sins players don't know about this seemingly hidden feature of the game.  Come join the fun and experience a greater strategic challenge!

Care to set up an arranged time for a galaxyforge match?  I've got sharply limited time today, but I'd love a rematch after that disappointing ending we had last time on "Asteroid Belt".

I'm not much into keeping a playing schedule.  I just log on when I feel like it and if there's action I'll get in on it.  Just log onto Diplomacy sometime in the North American evening.  There are still 4v4s and 5v5s.  We miss you, Darvin.

Yeah, I really need to come online more often, but full-time work leaves only a fraction of the spare time I'm used to for all my hobbies.

Luck of the draw I guess.  I've seen a lot of games that have gone for just 1:00-1:15 lately.  The Diplomacy Quick Start/Faster speed setting really chopped down the game times.

@ A110

perhaps you were "lucky" to play against or with gandalf or one of his aliases. He is the guy who doesn't leave until last of his and allied planets is conquered.

Unless teams are well balanced games finish before clock ticks to 60 min. Even if they are well balanced games that last 2h are really rare. In about 1000 games i played so  far perhaps 10 were 2h or more and one was 3h or more.....
