Qs on crystals, enchantment slots, screenshots, city-selection.

I'm having fun with Elemental!  It's much improved since Beta 4.  But three questions:

1. What do crystals do?  I'm accumulating them, but I don't know why.

2. What are "enchantment slots"?  How do I acquire them?

3. The manual says PrintScreen takes a screenshot, but I can't find any screenshots in my game folder.  Am I looking in the wrong place?  Pasting into Photoshop produced an all-black screen.

4. EDIT: one more.  I know Shift-C selects an idle city, but is there a way to select the next city regardless of whether it's idle?  PgDown/PgUp sorta kinda do this on my system, but only after one city is already selected, and even then those two keys seem to select cities in an idiosyncratic fashion.  I'd like just a plain old Y key or something that would let me select a city even if a unit is currently selected, and then would cycle thru cities on subsequent keypresses of Y.

Thanks!

1) Enhance spells of that element, I think they give a slight Essence boost to your heroes, and, if you get one of each type and dump about 3284234234 points into Arcane Research and get spell level 10, allow you to cast the Spell of Mastery Making and win the game

2) I think these are set to either your int or your wis? As in, maximum total number you can maintain simultaneously.

3) Mydocs/mygames/elemental/screenshots

Thanks!  I found the screenshots.  I guess I'll have a closer look at my sovereign's character-screen to find the "enchantment slots."

On question 1, I think you may have thought I was asking about shards.  I meant the clear-white crystals found at crags.  What do they do for me?

Finally, is there a way to select/cycle through cities, even if a unit (or any other object) is currently selected?

Crystals are required to produce gadgets to troops. Magic rings etc. You need to do some magic research to get that stuff.

The crystals that accumulate like metal or gold I believe are used for some magical items for troops (in the same way metal is used for troop weapons).  If you look at some of the later technologies in the magic tree you should see some items that require it.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help!

I'm guessing the answer on city-shortcuts is: they don't exist, yet.  For now, I can make do with Shift-C and pagedown/pageup, but I hope Stardock improves on those.
