I've been waiting for this game since it was announced. It doesn't run well on on my computer at all unless I choose cloth map. Silky smooth then. I thought one of the main selling points is that it doesn't require much resources. Yes I bought my computer in 2006 but come on. GalCIV 2 with all the expansions has no problems at all. I'm agitated over this mainly because I sacrificed and bought this but it's barely playable. At least I didn't by Madden 11 I suppose. Stardock I'm counting on you guys to come through. Please.

We are finding that there's a specific scenario (that we're still investigating) where the game doesn't use the video card's GPU but rather runs purely via software.  This is being looked at and investigated and will be addressed shortly. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Anyway, TJ, I find myself playing in cloth mode quite a bit myself - great fun until the close-range view is fixed :)

Once this is fixed the game will be nigh-perfect :D

 

Still having the occasional random CTD....but I'm wagering that will stop once the 64-bit version is released
