a few thoughts and a crash.

Hi,    my  first  post.....

I  just  bought  the  game, installed it,  and upgraded  to  1.01.  I  played around  with it  for  an  hour  or  so.

There are  MANY   things  to  like  about  the  game.  Even  though I  prefer  detailed  graphics,  these kinda  grow on you. lol 

Anyway, the games  runs  nicely on my  Windows 7  system. 

I'm not  going to  go  into  a lot  of  thoughts  as  many  of  them  have  been  already  posted,  so  just  a couple.

To me  the interface is  so  uncluttered  that  it  unfortunately  helps  raise the frustration level  of  finding  the correct  button. I would  rathwer  see  a more expanded permanent  interface, then search left  and  right  for  things. With  today's  resolution, there is  enough  room.

If there is  a single  square of  water,  the  game  engine  still provides it  with ocean  waves,  maybe that  could  be  changed  to  a pond  or  land  ungulation? Just  an  aesthetic  thing.

Anyway  the  main reason  for  posting. The  game just  stopped/crashed after I  hit end of  turn:

Take  care  and  now I understand  the  amazing  potential  of  his  marvelous  game  (better, if it  stops  crashing lol)\,  and  this  passionate  community.

Addendum-  The game  has  crashed  3 times  after loading  an  autosave.  Roughly  50  game turns deeper into  the  game each time. .
