In an interview with the french website Gamers.fr (http://www.gamers.fr), Chris Taylor announced that Gas Powered Games is working on a sequel to Demigod.

You can find the interview at this adress : http://www.gamers.fr/actus/2010/08/23/gc-interview-exclusive-avec-chris-taylor

Or directly below. Sorry for the french subtitles but Gamers.fr is mostly read by a french audience so some kind of translation was necessary

I'll be quite honest, with how they kinda dropped SupCom/FA/Demigod and bastardized SupCom 2, I'm not really feeling I'm going to ever buy anything by Chris Taylor ever again.

End of OMG_Teseer's quote

You do realise that GPG made the patch for SC/FA but THQ wouldn't pay for the testing phase thus its scrapped? it was released on beta but not on GPGNet due to THQ.

Demigod is published by Stardock they provide the funds for patches if they provided Demigod would have been patched more.

Supreme Commander 2 is published by Square enix so once again thats down to them to patch it, Whats wrong with supcom 2 anyway? its been patched about 1 month ago and your already complaining?

Teseer loves Supcom but dislikes what they did with the 2nd (I think) I'd have to wait and let my friends test the sequel (if they make one) I loved Demigod, but it's way to buggy :/

I know we love to mention "if SD had provided" but would you have provided for such a sht game? I mean really come on, the launch was a catastrophe, if I were SD I would have laughed and demanded my money back.

That's like you hiring someone to paint your house, you get home and realize they're missing spots, using the wrong paint, and the guy "managing" is licking the paint brush.  So your house looks terrible, your neighbors are calling you about it and telling you that you should pay the same crew of painters more money to fix what was never completed.

F GPG, they produce garbage and it shows.

Analogies are usually flawed ways of explaining things...

but this however I find to be an disturbingly accurate description of how GPG did business with Demigod.

Hey... no ones perfect.  Some days you knock it out of the park and sometimes your customers catch you licking the paint brush.

I've just come. I still think Demigod is the best computer game i've ever played & i've played a lot. My only concern is even if they made DG2 they may not be able to make it better than the original game (minus the obvious issues).

I'll be buying Kings & Castles and see how Chris Taylor does with that, hopefully they'll make enough green to fund DG2.

One Demigod to find them, One Demigod to bring them all and in the darkness bind them in the land of Stardock where the Shadows lie, One Demigod to Rule them All!

That's what Kate Blanchet would say if she stared in The Lord of the Frogboy: The Fellowship of Demigod.

note: Demigod still needs to be finished! Where is the promised DLC!!!
