How to change the Diplomacy language installation for online product ?

Hi,

I bought diplomacy a few month ago, and installed it. But my SoE and Entrenchment are in french, and Diplomacy is in english.

Today a friend bought Trinity, and have Diplomacy in french. So, i uninstalled Diplomacy and tried to re-install, but i don't have any message box which ask me to choose the language, as i had with Entrenchment.

You can try email support at support@stardock.com. There has been a few with the language problem. Post back if you get a fix.

If you cant wait you can get the files needed from your friends game

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Sins of a Solar Empire\Diplomacy\Sound  (folder holds all language sound)

C:\Program Files\Stardock\Sins of a Solar Empire\Diplomacy\String (folder holds all language text)

I tried using the french language file from Trinity in the right folder without any sucess. Game is still in english. I'm going to send a mail to stardock. Thanks for your answer.

I dont think you had the right folder. What file to what folder?

I used the file French.str which was in that folder, and i copy it in the same folder :

D:\Sins of a Solar Empire\Diplomacy\String

 

There is one difference between our game. When i run Diplomacy, the game logo is Diplomacy with the name dIplomacy. Him, when he run Dyplomacy, the logo and the name is Trinity.

are you replacing a file or does it add to the folder. Your game is probably calling for English.str so try and rename French.str to English.str after you backup the file.

I added the new file cause SoE and Entrenchment have both files english and french.
