set towers to high and upgrade them to slow him down and give you time to level...but this is more effective  for cata

avoid playing crucible, and crush him with the beast if your opponent tries to do minion oak on a different map.

lol.. what comes around goes around?  Last I recall you and green did a 2v2 double minion, both pushing up the middle in a bee line, then claimed that it wasn't cheap.

4Nana i have no idea what the hell are you talking about, only game we have ever played is 2vs2 cataract, oak&rook vs oak&sedna, no double minions, so you are talking bullshits, no offence ; )

beast against minion oak? hmmm sounds weird, maybe in early game you force him to get back to citadel but after oak reach lvl 7 and higher he is unstoppable against building and demigods, his penitence+ surge of faith+ring of divine might+minions(10 spirits, 6 idols) can get you down pretty fast, i know beast has ooze which is great to taking donw minions but UB needs at last 10 sec to kill spirits (and only if he is at 10th lvl and have max lvl of ooze) but if you are fighiting among soldiers, archers etc your ooze will turn against you casue oak can put the wand and you will make spirits for him,

yeah, but high towers work aginst you too not only against your opponent ; ), i remember game 3vs3 cataract ( not here, on gameranger), there was one minion oak in opposite team, high towers etc, we won thin battle only because we upgraded our towers to 11k hp and our occulus was standing in the middle and did the combo lighting + blast when oak sent wave of minions, when game was coming to the end we had just one tower in front of our citadel,all high towers went down like domino, and that all damage has been done only by one oak minion build. so high towers do not guarantee good protect against minions ;/

Trust me a 7k hp beast  played smart will crush the best minion oak on cataract (blood of the fallen a must). However there are only 3 "pro" beast players that I know of and none of them play any more:-) On prison it's a bit different because it's so much faster to kill the towers and citadel with the spirits. Here you have to aim for straight kills with potions and sigils to stop him from leveling!

just because a game doesn't show up in the game list doesn't mean it didn't happen.

hmmm this is just theory, you have yours i have mine ; ), look Zen, even if u can force this oak to pull back, but who says he has to fight you? he cant just send his minions to crush the citadel and everybody knows that oak's spirits are "ignored" by other creatures, i mean they jammed in the citadel and soldiers, archers, priest , catapults, giants just walk along and do not attack them and even if you stay near the citadel your ooze doesn't reach them, and if this situation is going to happen even the best UB player is in deep shit, what you gonna do next? try to catch his portal? he has shield III + lock, try to kill him ? he has shield III + scroll, you are trying to catch him and in the meantime his spirits crush your citadel

i am not saying minion oak is invincible, ereyone makes mistake and this is your opportunity to win, but imho oak hybrid build (mix of killer oak and spirit oak) has the biggest chance to win 1vs1 game

Unfortunately desyncing still shows up in stats, hence why people do it to get inflated win ratios.

Also unfortunately, there are several reasons why it might not show up in the games list, most of them happening with no known cause behind it.

minion oak's spirits are brutal, but so is the beast. Let's say we have the scenario of two perfect players playing on cataract beast vs oak. Saying no one feeds, the beast will eventually get ahead because he becomes invincible with his hp damage and speed, that he can force the oak back, and kill all towers by himself too. The trick is to defend your middle towers as much as possible. I think one of the best minion's oak i played against was Dark Satana. he abuses every inch possible. His minion oak is almost unbeatable on prison though.

if you are going to go after him as beast, make sure you buy an egg. It may seem expensive but combined with ooze it really helps.

That depends on if the Oak is trying to fight you or not.  If he just avoids fighting and goes straight for your mid towers then citadel there's nothing UB can do about it alone.  And what do you mean the 3 pro beast players don't play anymore?   Orcun and Mith are gone, but I still play.

On a side note I would love to get your friend info for SC2 Zen_God I miss playing with you. The techno music, accent, and constant banter between us was always a pleasure to play with even if you didn't buy citadel upgrades like a noob.

Well Mith really made me laugh and I haven't played with Orcun's beast enough to have an opinion. It just that there are so many people that are excellant with beast in this game that narrowing it down to 3 is just funny.

Mith played very impatiently with every character, but if you caught him on the right day he could be quite dominant with UB.  I mostly threw him in there though just because I needed a 3rd name to insult Zen, since I'm pretty sure he was implying that him and 2 other people who don't play anymore are the pro UBs.  I'm guessing he says it's him, Kira or Koush, and Orcun.

Most people don't know how to micro their beast the most efficient way.

ex. attack instead of spit so you don't lose the target, especially effective if the enemy is lower in hp than you

save the stun for critical moments if tp out or for escape, you can even intercept enemy spit or other crucial attacks of enemy demigods

taking free damage before shopping

yellowing

etc.

LOL never was impressed with orcun's beast but everything else that he played was stellar. Never really played against koush's beasty and Zen_God you never striked me as a beast pro but erebus rook were your two babies.

Now if we are talking best ubs. I would include pretty much everyone you listed but adding nom, kira, pantz, usedcondom, and trouser. There are just simply to many to pick the best 3 out of because in general 1 mistake in a 1v1 UB fight makes the difference.

The only DG's I think you can give a top 3 too might be Torchbearer and Sedna. because teseer and Hedgie are the top of the totem pole on there.

never seen the other people play beast that you added. TB ehm controversial, let's compromise, i give sedna up to hedgie^^ And even though teseer's whole life evolved around tb, I actually never saw it he's a good da though lol

I'm pretty sure my Sedna skills are pretty rusty. I plan on playing ONE more night before I go back up north and I expect that night will shame myself and blemish my reputation
