Some help.

I know it's been done a billion times, but I would like to build a news ticker for my theme. The problem is for the life of me I cannot figure out how to do this. I am prety new to skinning and need all the info I can get. I am going in search of manuals and such on the internet.

find a newsticker that has already been made. Change its script and or graphics to what you want. Then ask permission from the creator before you upload, or at least give credit to him or her.

Looking at the script its rather difficult

I mean the script itself was rather difficult to create if you don't understand xml.

I figured out how to get the script out of the news ticker. That is something that I was trying to do. And funny enough I found premade scripts for news tickers online. And I figured out how to splice it into the other object adjust the text height and everything.
I did it mostly by accident but I think I can do it again.
