I suggest you open some buttons from another skin and see how they are made.

Listen to the Brainy-One................ open a few logon folders, and see how they are done.  When you have a specific question, we'll be better able to answer you.

Well, I tried that and all it shows me if a picture of the button, not how it's made.

Most are made from a basic shape with layer styles for depth and effects.There are tons of tutorials on the net for buttons.Try a google search.

The gimp is free.Paint shop Pro is inexpensive and pretty powerful.Photoshop is great but expensive.

Ok, thanks for the help so far, but, I have another question now. How do I make a .logonxp file when I make a new logon? All I can get it to make are theme.ini files.

Thanks for the help everyone. I tried GIMP and I don't like it too much but I got Paint Shop Pro 8 yesterday and it is so much easier to use. I'm still using GIMP too. I will have some logons soon for you to download. Thyanks again.

Can someone fill me in on why my I can't find my logon? If I search for it I find it but I can't find it when I am looking throught all of them. Why is this?

No, I understand how to find it on my computer but I can't find it on the web site and was approved after I uploaded it. If I search for it (the name is Dragonball Z Trunks) I find it but I can't find it if I browse through all of the submitted logons. Why is that?

You probably can't find it because it's rated a 3. You need to edit your account, set show skins with this rating or higher to three and it will show up for you

Why is my skin rating so low and how do the WinCustomize people know what kind of a rating to give it?

The admins and mods have been around the block so to speak, they rate works according to what will enhance the site best. You can at least say your work was approved while many works have not. That is an accomplishment in it self. You should try to think of ways to improve your logon and update it for a better rating. Don't let that get you down and never give up. My first blind got a 4, and some of my walls didn't even come close to making the cut, but that's part of the game Another thing you might consider is writing to few people and have them test your logons before you upload.
