Since this is a weekend, just being able to post about a forum issue without something going boom is a major step forward. ;)

Male/Female/Undecided...makes no difference. To quote the Firesign Theater "I think we're all bozos on this bus."   Link

Is anyone from Stardock going to respond to this issue?  Or am I just wasting my time again?

They might, but you would have had a better chance if this was posted under Stardock Support.

What browser are you using?

I use IE 8 and don't have the problem.

I'm still a male in my profile! Though I really am all woman! Ask my husband! :D

I use IE8 and Firefox (latest) Philly, same problem on both browsers, and it just made sense to me to post a forum issue in the "Forum Issues" category.  :P

Hey LightStar; this is a very old bug/issue that Stardock has been made aware of in the past, for myself it has been at least 2 years since the last time my profile actually showed me as online when logged in.

Thanks Cavan1, I appreciate the info. :)

I had the same problem.  I went over to my profile on the Stardock site and changed it there and here.  Now I'm female again on both sites.  A bit strange?

Showing a user as being "online" when they visit a website doesn't mean much.  The user can close the browser at any time and the database wouldn't know about it.  Not to mention we'd have to have a call to the database on every single page to let it know that the user is still "online."

I think I might just remove this feature entirely, as it's kind of useless (this is a forum with static content, not a chat with dynamic content).

As for the male/female bit.  I think the problem is that we have multiple locations where we store the user's sex.  This means that on one site, it might be saving to one location and on another to a different location.  I'll look into where all these locations are and possibly converging them.

vBulletin..... is that a news release for vStyler's skins?........   :|

Ok, so the profile shows everyone as male. I think all you girls have to do is post a pic of your boobs here so we can verify you are female. Then everyone will be happy (especially me ;p ).

Nice idea Fuzzy but how would we know they weren't shopped or "enhanced" a bit?

@ Bara. I can see your point. If it complicates things too much or just isn't really needed maybe it should go. I'd rather see something like our guestbook or Photos working again. Our personal sites seem so lacking without these features and they helped justify the cost of paying for the sub.

Any word on when or if those features will be available on the new site?

I saw one today in the shopping centre all sticking out and exposed to the point of indecency. They were as fake as her tan. Yuk!

Shopped in a shopping centre...!

The personal sites are not on my list in the near future.  Perhaps after Elemental releases I'll find out what others think about updating the personal sites.

I think the guestbook needs to come back to our personal sites. There needs to be a way to go to a person's site and congratulate them on a recent promotion, or a current feature, or even just to say hello.

What are we paying our subscriptions for?  So Stardock can spend all their time and efforts on Elemental? Bad enough that we pay for access for this site, but have to suffer through , forum reliability issues, all the other site's problems, all the gaming sites and such, having problems that are affecting OUR site that we pay to use.

We recently were told there would be no more subscriber skins, now no photos or guestbook on our personal sites, hell, we can't even change our honoriffics and half our women are now men!

What exactly are we paying for?

Seems we are getting less and less.......:annoyed:

And this site is becoming less and less personal, which is why we're losing all the veterans.
