No serial key for Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity - waste of money?

Just bought this via paypal and have not received a CD/serial key. My paypal email is not the same as my Impulse email. Currently, the auto response email states the following:

Thank you for your order from Stardock.
This email contains information about your order and serves as your receipt.

Please print a hard copy of this information and store it in a safe place
as you may need it for future installations and/or upgrades.

Customer Name: HIDDEN
Order Number: HIDDEN

Products Ordered:
=----------------------------------------------------------------------------=
Product Name : Sins of a Solar Empire - Trinity (Digital)
User Name : HIDDEN
Email : HIDDEN (this isn't my impulse email but my paypal email)
Download : http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup.exe (Install Impulse and logon to download)

Nor does it appear on my games list in impulse.

How do I go about getting what I paid for? - As, currently, my money has been stolen, which has all kinds of ramifications.

EDIT: Creating a new impulse account registered to the email in the receipt does not solve the problem. There are no games on that list.

Nothing has been 'stolen'.

All you need to do is transfer the registration of the game from your paypal email to your Impulse email at this link - https://www.stardock.com/support/registrations/

Put your paypal email in the 'Source Account' side and your Impulse email in the 'Destination Account'.

The game should then appear in Impulse.

* You may have to restart Impulse after transferring the registration.

As per your advice, and a few moments before you suggested actually, I have/had merged the accounts. As previously stated - the serial did not appear on either account and that would seem to lend itself to the fact that this merger would not solve the problem and, indeed, it hasn't. I have restarted impulse as you suggested.

Thanks for the speedy reply.

What next? :]

If SINS (and I take it is) is now showing in Impulse where it wasn't appearing in your 'Games' list before then indeed it did solve the problem.

You just need to right-click on the game and select 'View Registration' the serial number will display. Then copy it to the clipboard and click on 'Register Product'.  Fill-in the relevant fields and all should be well.

If for some reason this doesn't work then I suggest you email support@stardock.com and start a trouble ticket.

Nope, all I have in my list is Galactic Civ II / Dreadlords.

Is it likely they'll respond as quickly as you have? Don't want to be waiting very long. Ah well, time to set things in motion. This really should not be happening.

Thanks though, you responded quickly and I can see that the advice you give has worked for a lot of people, though my case is unique for some reason.

Kind regards

I know what happened.  It is a kind of strange situation, but it does occasionally happen.  I've merged all your registrations to your Zantei account, so you should be good to go.  If it's still not showing up, try closing Impulse and running the following file:

http://sd.stardock.com/curthendzell/fix_registrations.reg

Make sure to follow the link in Internet Explorer, as other web browsers will not handle the file type correctly.  Once you follow the link, save the file and double click it to apply it.  Then relaunch Impulse.  You will need to re-login with your username/e-mail (either will work) and password.

Woke up this morning and saw it in the list so thanks for that. Apparently the server started substituting gmail with googlemail or something to that effect (according to the support email I received).

All is well with the world, thanks guys. I'm abroad next week and wanted to get some play time in this weekend. I'm quite surprised to have got this sorted so quickly.

Thanks again

Kind regards

Tau_Empire...

Best bet is to contact sales@stardock.com indicating the retail ver was missing a key. They should be able to sort you out ...;)
