Is it true that Brad Wardell actually wrestled a bear and won?

I heard the bear was paid off...

Naw, Gary Busey wrestled a bear.  Until Frogboy wrestles Gary Busey I shall remain unimpressed.

Just to make it "official" and not from a Stardock member :P

Is it true that Brad Wardell actually wrestled a bear and won? I also heard he eats babies. Is this with brown sauce or ketchup?

This is a question for Brad:

What non-indie developer studios do you admire both in the quality of their games and the way they approach game development? Having said that, what are the differences in Stardock's approach (using Elemental as an example) and theirs?

My question:

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the graphics will be even better in the release version, including things like improved ground textures, etc?  Is this correct, and if so, can you please elaborate about which areas of the game's graphics will get even better in the release version?

You don't get to pick your own questions ;P

I've got one:

Is it true that Brad Wardell took up beekeeping in order to raise an unstoppable army of killer bees with which to conquer the world?

1: A retail expansion pack has already been mentioned, what sorts of things can we expect from that? Other than new factions of course.

2: What is the biggest technical limitation you've faced developing Elemental?

3: Galciv3 when?

As a side note I heard a couple of guys on the Gamers With Jobs podcast talking about their experience with the beta and expressing concern over whether or not the game can be finished, much like a lot of post on forums. They seem excited about it though, maybe Brad should Skype it up with them, or hit up 3 Moves Ahead which is a strategy game centric podcast.

In the creation of Elemental what is the one thing you are proud of the most in the near final version?

Do you think your ai in this game is better than Creative Assemblys, Paradox and Matrixgames games?

What's the one thing you could say to the development community to make future games better?

Would you ever consider doing an ancients or medieval game ala Rome Total War or Medieval Total War only turn based like GC2 and now soon Elemental?

I want to know about a Campaign for the game?  IE will we actually have one.  I mean sandbox is fun, but a great story sells and helps you learn the ropes.

Yep, we gonna have a campaign! -> Rich, story-driven campaign developed by Random House’s Del Rey. IIRC Brad has mentioned tha the campaign will be RPGish, while the sandbox mode "MoMish". :)

Q1) Where do you see Stardock in ten years?

Q2) Stardock spends a lot of time at "front" of development because a lot of their business (such as the oem deals) are on latest-generation, new computers. Where do you see the PC industry going? Is the market ready to transition to 64bit by the end of the next decade? What about 3D?

What development methods do you use?

How do you plan the devs? You once mentioned engineering hours when I'm used to seeing engineering days used for measure of progress in software. How much detailed is your planning?

How's that rumoured fully fledged RPG coming along?

When you mentioned Planescape: Torment way back when i became pleasantly moist. Bioware are great because they have both freedom and money. Bethesda games are okay if you like sandbox games, but they've never come up with a decent setting or story of their own. Obsidian are great but chronically under resourced and bullied by awfull publishers. I think that leaves a big gap in the market for a good, unconsolised western RPG. I've also heard rumour that Obsidian may go out of business soon, so maybe maybe there's some talent there to be snapped up?

Lol Obsidian isn't that the one who did something stupid with the NWN's engine? Didn't they do like NWN's 2? It was a horrible mess. Or maybe they are the ones that did RTW and it was a horrible mess as well.

Q: Let's talk mounts. What about mounts?

Q: What about the bears?

Q: Elemental bears? Frost bears, flame bears, etc, etc.

Q: Anything at all to be said on an expansion?
