Start Menu Issues

Hey guys,

I used windowblinds on XP for quite sometime but have been out of touch for a while. I recently got myself a new laptop with windows 7 home premium 64 bit and decided to download windowblinds 7 seeing as how I had the processor and memory to run it properly! I only have the trial version installed at the moment, and will definitely purchase if I can get this problem sorted because it has happened on almost all of the themes I have tried so far of the designer.

I haven't had this issue with any of the pre-installed themes so it has me wondering whether it's just theme specific, however, when checking out the comments I couldn't see that anyone else had the same issue so I decided to post here. Please forgive my ignorance, maybe it is a known issue but I had no idea what search terms to use other than start menu and noone seems to be having this issue.

The theme in question is visually stunning (as are all of her others) and I would really love to be able to find a resolution to this problem so I can use it. It's called RazorX by Vampothika.

What specifically is the issue you're seeing?  Are you talking about the white background on the start menu?  If so, it appears this is skin specific, as the same happens here.

Ohh okay, I wasn't sure if it was meant to do that or not. I've been an XP boy for so long, still getting the feel for windows 7! Thanks for reply (:

Contact the skinner...maybe she can fancy up the section so it doesnt look so out of place. :thumbsup:

Yes, if you every have issues with the way a specific skin is made, contact the skins author.  Usually they will be willing to make their skin work better.

The skin may have been made before it was possible to do anything with that section.(and just need updating)...or its that way on purpose and you might want to learn just enough about skinstudio to make alterations.

Learning to fix 1 thing is super easy compared to Doing a whole skin. B)

 

The section is Start menu...all programs mode(for using an image)...or...extra settings tab...all programs list background color(use the drop down menu to select a color)
