Soundpackager Feature Request - MP3 Import

Hi - I believe one of the hold backs for Soundpackager receiving more attention is the fact tha it only imports WAV files - is there any way to enable it to inport (and then convert) MP3 files? Also, adding WMA and similar file types would be excellent. But at the very least, MP3.

I imagine the reason that Sound Packager only imports WAV files is because Windows uses WAV files for its sounds. MP3 conversion to WAV conversion could be done, but there are a lot of applications that already do that for free. It's my understanding that additional recurring license fees would be involved with using MP3, also.
