Windowblinds 7 Crash

Hello!

I brought Windowblinds 7 somewhere roughly around April this year and it has worked flawlessly on my Win7 64bit system so far - until today. I've been experiencing constant crashes, as soon as I try to configure or doubleclick the program it crashes. I have not modfied any files or not even installed any new themes for quite a long time. Any clues on why this issue persists? I've also tried to reboot and restart the whole program (removing it in ctrl+alt+del - and restarting it - but it still decides to crash)

Sincerely

Cat Empire

It's called "vampire"-something - an old theme. I'm quite sure it's not win7 compatible - but it has worked well for around 2 weeks.

Open Impulse and go to the My Software Tab. Right-click on  WindowBlinds then select Verify Installation. If it says it is not installed properly run the update it will offer you.

Also if you can go to About WindowBlinds in WB Config, copy and paste that info here.

If you can provide a link to the WB I will give it a try, I also have Win 7 64 bit.  That way we can see if the WB is the problem or something else.

Hello again & thank you for the replies.

I did as Wizard1956 suggested and took a peek inside impulse. According to impulse I have none of my software or games that I've brought via the application installed - even though I have installed several programs 1-2 months ago. I remember starting impulse at the end of April to check for impulse-deals and then it said I had several things installed according to its UI. Once again, I have not modified impulse in any way and not edited my registry. I suppose I have to reinstall windowblinds - even though it shows up in my "Uninstall Programs"-list?

Make sure you are logged on to Impulse with the same username and password used when you made your purchase. Another thing you can try is open Impulse, click on the blue button at top left and go to preferences. Click on Reset Data, close Impulse and reopen it.

Hai again.

I tried resetting data and doublechecked to make sure I was logged in into impulse - but it didn't do any difference, apart from a patch that was downloaded. Today when I tried to start windowblinds again I got a different errormessage: "Error 101. Unable to locate key WindowBlinds files".

I went into the folder where I installed it and it's still there. So.. Should I reinstall it? Or what options do I have? I still don't understand how this happened since I haven't done anything to it manually.

Sincerely

something weird with my WB serial number...it's showing a expire date BUT i didn't buy Object Desktop so it shouldn't have 1...i wonder if thats the reason why i have to re-enter my SN every time WB has been updated...any help on it? maybe remove the expiration date or give me a new SN?

Standalone purchases should not have expiry dates.

When did you purchase WindowBlinds & SkinStudio?

Where exactly did you install it? Have you moved any folders around or changed the default locations of any files?

I haven't changed anything at all!

SpecialKey: It looks like you have two accounts and only one has the registrations.  Did you recently change your e-mail address from a hotmail to a gmail?

You should login using the gmail account in Impulse and on the forums.

i already merged & i did login using the gmail on Impulse...same Serial Numbers with expiration date.

PS why do i need to use the gmail on the forum?
