Do I uninstall previous version of Objectdock Plus before installing the new 2.0v

I just upgraded to ObjectDock Plus version 2.0 and wanted to know if I need to uninstall the old version first?  May be a dumb question but am asking anyway.  Also, I have noticed my tabbed dock at the bottom of my screen has started popping up very slowly when I mouse over it.  It used to come out really quick whenever I put the mouse on it.  My settings for it are set to short delay but it still seems like it is dragging, any thought as to what might be causing that?  I did recently update my video card and ram to 3gig but I would think that would help not cause the dragging.  Any help with either question is appreciated.  Thank You |-)

No, it installs to a different directory, so you can have both installed at the same time (I didn't uninstall the old version).

One thing to note is that if you plan on using both versions, they do share the same settings folder. This means that any changes made to one version of the dock will affect the other.

Which is for now a good thing, since as example no running indicator setting in version 2, I unload 2, load 1.9, change running indicator, unload 1.9 then load 2 again.

All this does help, but if I'm understanding right I can uninstall the old version and it not be a problem?  Except I have noticed all my backgrounds are still in the old version folder where do I need to move them to so they are in the new version folder?  Also, any ideas yet on why the tabbed dock I have that is dragging so slowly when I mouse over it?  Thanks again for the help so far it is appreciated. :)

Move/copy them to the backgrounds folder in the ObjectDockPlus2 folder, XP path C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDockPlus2\Backgrounds

OD2 config, Settings, Performance Options, make sure is set for Performance.

Yes you can, but IMO until all setting options are in version2 it may be best to keep 1.9 installed to have access to the option in it.

Thanks Cavan1 that answered all my questions.  But, on your suggestion for tabbed dock dragging when I mouse over it, my settings are set to optimize performance, it is still dragging.  Granted I will say it isn't dragging as much since I put OD2 on it but it still drags a bit.  Best way to describe it is that it drags when it pops up but slides back down really fast.  It may just be something I have to live with, I hope not but unless there is something else to do I'll live with it. :-|
