Fix/Break SoaSE: The Forum Game

Here's the deal: One forum poster discovers in the fictitional forthcoming changelog ofthe next patch its most sweet, coveted, sugar-cloud-rainbow-pie-in-the-sky fix for the most loathesome bug, prickly nitpick or petty-demand-for-game-mechanics-change of SoaSE to fit its tastes.

The next poster, though, in a closer look of the actual game, discovers something terrible which destroys the childhood dreams of the previous poster, breaking the game in an even more horrendous way.

Repeat ad nauseum.

WHOOORAY!

Look at this, this bullet point alone is worth the whole patch:

* pirates no longer have 'we are borg, prepare to be assimilated' armor strength and fleet supply. They are more economy-disrupting oriented, less vasari-alien-hunter-world-devourer now.

*pirates go back to entrenchment levels of power, stop trying to kill starbases and planets, and do their best to disrupt trade... by killing tradeships... and the best defence agaisnt the pirates becomes building two trade ports, so tha the pirates chase the trade ships all around the gravity well, doing no real damage, then a single capital ship is dispatched the the gravity well to slowly pick off, and eat up exp off the pirates, ending up with after the third raid, the player you have been sending pirates agaisnt has 2 lv 6 marzas, and rapes your fleet.

The devs fix the no-trade-income-from-star-bases-at-stars bug.

Trade ships no longer dock at trade ports due to a pathing bug introduced in a (failed) attempt to improve ship pathfinding. This also ends up affecting ships using their abilities outside their ability range.

The character limit for ship and planet names is extended to 32.

The character limit for ship and planet names is extended to 32, so you can finally name your ship "TDN Enterprise"...

however, they forgot to increase the maximum size of the arrays that contain the ship names , and so naming your ship "TDN Enterprise" causes the game to immediatly crash.

Guass rail gun bypasses shield mitigation so it does almost as much damage as the egg's nanites.  (would still be reduced by armor, nanites are not.)

Unfortunately, the devs accidentally assigned the decision of where the GRG projectile hits the enemy ship to the non-deterministic RNG, causing a likely desync after the ability is used.

Great news for us today as the devs finally decided to cut down the idiotic motorboat-like yes-I-have-to-fly-50-miles-forward-to-take-a-step-back movement!
