How do I get Impulse to detect my other games?

I have had impulse detect certain games I bought via DVD and make available via download automatically.  Other games it does not. Could someone explain why only some games are and is it possible to get it to detect my other games? Games I have in mind are Fallout3, Dragon Age would be awesome for it to detect. Thanks!

The 'Detect application' function within the blue menu button in the upper left of Impulse is just so Impulse knows where something is installed. You would not be able to download updates or the game itself through Impulse unless you have a registration for it in Impulse. Currently the only retail titles you can do this with are Stardock games and a small handful of games that use GOO.

The Detect Application feature came about to be used in instances where there was an OS reinstall performed but the files for a game installed through Impulse were left on a separate partition or drive.  In this case you would not need to redownload the entire game, just point Impulse at the install path and it would do its best to make up the lost data.  This may not work in all instances, and in the case of Fallout 3 won't work at all.  Also, if you detect an application with Impulse for which you do not have a registration you ay be presented with the option to update, but will not be able to download the updates unless you register the game.
