Does anyone still play this game?

Cant seem to find any games at all anymore...

Title says it all. I am tired of my current MMOG so I figured I'd get back into Demigod a bit, but whenever I log on there are 0 games in the lobby. So, did everyone quit? Do I need to install a mod or something or whats going on?

 

I cant believe people can play games like HoN after playing Demigod even for 5 minutes.. whats up with this whole situation..? The Demigod marketing must have been abysmal? :o

you can host

typically there are not that many open games at any given time, so if there isn't one, you are free to host your own.

welll since my game is one of those listed that you may have been kicked out of, I usualllly give a reason before I kick.  I tend to copy / paste "sorry ____, you're better off joining a noob lobby or host one of your own" when low stat people join my games.  If I'm in a hurry and we already have the people for 3v3 or 4v4 and I'm just waiting on them to join the lobby, I'll probably kick without reason.

 

Also, you can't see games on your lobby screen if they are full (i.e. 6/6 and just haven't started).

You'll still get a bang for your buck; its still an amazing game with its little flaws. At most being able to view queen floating there makes 99.9% better.

I'm also thinking of buying this game. But I want to know: What's the average amount of players that play everyday? Is the amount of players playing increasing or decreasing by the day?
I really want to play Demigod, I'm just not sure it'll be worth it with no one playing.

The current problem is that everyone goes "There's no one on Demigod, I'm not going to wait around for a game" so you get like 50 people not playing because the other 49 people are thinking the exact same thing. The fact that these forums have traffic means that there are still people out wanting to play the game, just need to get more of them in there playing!

I just got a game fairly easily and I had 0 games played so people tried kicking me etc and my ping is horrible since I am from Australia. If I can find a game, surely anyone can :P

Sure would be nice if some more aussies would come back and play, the lag was horrible :(

Play a couple single player games, hit up the strategy section to better learn how to play your favorite dg, and then join noob lobbies once you can beat hard ai :)  If you can't remember which items you want or talents you want, www.demigoddb.com is a very nice resource to use outside of the game.  Follow that advice for the best experience possible :)

 

And early on, I would suggest learning oak, erebus, or unclean beast first!
