Drive Scan

Is Drive Scan no longer available ? I've been looking for it on the Stardock website but so far have only found screenshots, no download.

It's part of Object Desktop and showing in Impulse. The last update was 28/09/09 but doesn't have a history to say what the update was.

I opened Impulse and I can see it there.

Strange...it's not on mine. But then, I have .534 which won't update itself.

Well this is very odd. My Object Desktop sub is up to date, I've re-registered Drive Scan in Impulse and the registration was successful, I've even re-installed Impulse but without luck. Everything else is listed - as far as I can tell - but not DS. I'm beginning to suspect Stardock have removed it.

When did you purchase ObjectDesktop?

Some older apps may only be showing for older ObjectDesktop accounts as the account dates from before the application was retired.

I renewed my OD sub in November 2009, but I've certainly downloaded Drive Scan since then. I need to do it again now because I've just completed a clean re-install of Windows 7. The annoying thing is it shows up in Impulse on my Laptop, and with an update available.

I must say I'm disappointed to discover it's been "retired". I've always found DS to be very useful.

Thank you, Stardock, for all your assistance in this matter.

The last update was 28/09/09

I'd just like to take a second to point out this "Last Update" field in Impulse refers to the last time the app's configuration was updates.  Drive Scan hasn't had any code changes in a long while, and most likely was updated for testing purposes.
