Password changing issue

Long story short I'm migrating to a new PC. I need to log in to Impulse on it but my password is long forgotten by me. I can't change it under My account tab because I don't know the old one. I tried to do the "Retrive log in info" on the main log in window for Impulse, but it claims it can't find the email I have registered. Soooo I need help.

You should email support@stardock.com or you can go into IRC and the Stardock channel and someone from support should be able to help. :sun:

Do you have access to your old computer?  Or at least the old hard drive that had Impulse on it?  If so, you can go to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Stardock\Impulse

Change "USERNAME" to your user name for the computer in the above example.

Look for RegistrationsCache.xml in the folder.  Right click it and select "Edit".

You'll see some software registration info in there and your email associated with Impulse will be listed.  You can use that to have Stardock send your login to you.

I doubled checked the email in the .xml file, path was a bit different in Vista but I got it. The sad part is I am using the correct email address. As I thought I was, still says they never heard of it. I suppose Ill shoot support an email and see what happens.
