Downloading help

hello, i need some help.

my internet is terribly slow and it is really making me angry.

on average when i try to download something with impulse it only downloads at about 9KB/s

it's been like this for awhile since i moved to a knew house and it's really making me angry, because i recently purchased Tropico 3, which is 2.35 Gb in size. Also when ever i try to download some error occurs, a different one for every game. The current one is File is smaller than expected.

If any one could help me to download things faster and just helping me make my internet connection faster

also don't recomend i download something from the internet because that always fails no matter what file

id be talking to my ip provider, depends what you have to, cable? adsl? dial up? more info would be good. but still its down to your ip provider, not much stardock can do about download bit rate from your pc.

Have you run a speed test to make sure it is your internet connection and not something else, like some malware on your computer?

Go to www.speedtest.net and see what you spec out at.

If it's dsl, you could have an internal wiring fault. If your phone system returns too many errors to your provider, they will lock down your connection to whatever is stable.

You need to check out your modem and router also...sometimes they can be problematic. Post some data. What kind on connection do you have? Modem? Router?
