k, so the concept was to get as far away from the last theme I did as possible and still be able to skin Win 7 completely and correctly.

 

I also wanted to make a red and black theme that took advantage of the dramatic contrasts that this color combo can achieve.

 

Devilish, menacing, provokative, I dunno.. thats what is running through my head as I throw this PS mockup together.

 

I suppose X-( I will be doing a light and dark windows version as I dont see anyway around it...

 

...so this one may take a while to complete but here it is in it early.. fluid stage.

 

Oh and I may just keep the small branding text... cos I know :snowman: would approve  ;)

the text over the inactive tabs should be a light, slightly bluish grey as opposed to the red tinged light color over the red.

I used what you had posted in this forum awhile back 193 183 183.  Thanks for the sample.  Which one do you prefer because you can only use one color on tabs.  There isn't a way to have a different color for inactive vs active.  Although, that was a request for the new 2.0.  Since I don't have 2.0, I don't really know if it was ever added.  Anyone want to chime in here?

Hmm, well, Then Id say leave as is, the blue will prolly look worse over the red than vice versa, either way, lookin good.
