Back when, this skin caused severe addiction for a significant fraction of the skinning community,
I was wondering is Stardock has plans for renewing and updating "Universe Metal" for Vista and Windows 7?
this was hands down IMO the single best skin to ever grace the planet. Nobody's even come close to this quality. Wouldn't it be grand if it were updated.
However, if memory serves this was not a Stardock skin. It was made by Pixstudio I think. Don't recall the cast and crew to the letter.

It was purchased by Stardock and sold as a premium suite...hence my request was directed to Stardock.

I know Alexandrie, and I believe she stated that "U.M." belongs to SD now....

btw... Treetog and Alexandrie were Pixtudio.

anyway, not going to open up a can of worms. To each their own.
We all like U.M. to one degree or another.
That isn't the issue in my OP.
All it's about is a request is that Treetog consider doing a Vista/W7 update.
As much as I "love" UniverseMetal I have to agree with vStyler on this. Since that skin came out there have been many skins just as good that have been created! 
And with all due respect and all past bullshit aside...like it or not...John has created some pretty awesome skins! And no...he didn't pay to say that! 
Being a virtual noob here, I must point out the Mormegil apparently had something to do with it. I have no idea if he was/is part of it, or the creator......

I'm not asking/telling anyone to agree/disagree or whatever. John makes great skins. I'm using Svelte right now as well as your docks, WG. That's not the issue, so everyone please drop it!
I would like a skin/suite update. If you'd like to see it also, please join. If not, don't. Just don't turn the thread into a pointless argument about taste.
The thread was positive and I want it to stay that way.
Then again, Mormegil may have just done the screeny...see...I'm a noob.

while I'm sure we all have our sentimental favourites that were the bee's knees in their day...if design and technique and imagination hadn't progressed....well...

I am all for an update, too, as for updates of many other skins from the past, think MikeB for example.
Want to stay out of any gangwars here, so I won't comment on certain things...
