W7 and Shortcut Overlays

I upgraded to W7 a while back and instead of reinstalling ObjectDock Plus I thought I'd give Fences a try for a while.  Now I'm finding I miss/need the functionality of ObjectDock I've reinstalled it but I've run into a little bug with shortcut overlays.  I used the Vista Shortcut Manager to remove the shortcut overlays and it works great I have no overlays on any of my shortcuts anywhere... except for ObjectDock Plus.  And it's not every shortcut that has them, just some of them.

At first I thought it might be due to the fact I was using an old shortcut directory I'd created previously for a flyout menu so I tried recreating some of the offending shortcuts but the overlays show up even on the newly created ones.  I tried creating a new directory for my flyout menu and creating new shortcuts in it.  All the same ones that had the overlay had them on the new shortcuts as well.  I managed to get rid of the overlay on one shortcut by "changing" the icon to another file from the same app that had the same icon.  When that worked I tried it for another app but it still shows the overlay.  I can change it to an unrelated icon and it will have no overlay but if I change it back to the program icon it shows the overlay again.  If I create a shortcut for that program directly on the doc it shows no overlay.  It only shows the overlay in my flyout menu even though when I look at the shortcut in explorer in my flyout menu directory it has no overlay.

Now, while the shortcut overlays cause no problem, they ruin the nice clean look I want.  Is this possibly a bug with OD+ and W7?
