How to use custom race/ships from Gold edition in TOA?

Hi,

 

I just got Twilight of the Arnor today, I have custom races/ships from my previous Dark Avatar game. I installed ToA and it doesn't see any of my previous ship designs or custom races. So I then tried copying the ships and races from the "My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\Dark Avatar" folder into the same locations in "My Documents\My Games\GC2TwilightArnor\Twilight of the Arnor" but the game still will not see any of the custom races or ships.

 

Is there something I'm missing? or need to do? or is this expected behaviour?

DA ship designs are not compatible with TA without significant modding, as many of the ship parts were revised (better symmetry, new textures, etc). Even if they do appear, they'll likely be twisted and mangled.

sounds like one of my fleets' skirmish encounters with the Korath  :D
