Any Aussie or Nz gamers on Demigod???

Higher pings dosent neccessarily = lag

Sick of being kicked for large ping because all the players are EU by the look.

Even though only 2 of the games ive had have been laggy (I admitt the last one was terrible but, which happends when others have laggy cons despite their so called good pings).

So any Au or Nz gamers out there, at all? Just got this game last week and it seems dead already, despite being quite a cool multiplayer game.

Anyone know if they (game makers stardock?!?) have abandoned this game? needs more maps and some new demigods to keep the interest in it up.

You're probably lagging a good bit. Your ping to Europe should only be +50/60 to your ping to others more closeby, not enough to lag the game on its own.

The game makers are gpg, for all intensive purposes right now it's being ignored while they work on their next big release game.

 

Nobody here can say accuratlely wether or not there will be more support from them in the future, small bug fixes maybe, but major patches and even the promise of the sdk now seem unlikely.

 

As a kiwi who used to play this game a lot, i've given up on it online now as it's just much easier to get a game going with mates over hamachi than it is getting kicked from, or waiting hours in lobbies due to my high pings.  Some advice though is to look out for US West based games, I can connect there with pings of around 180 and even though some say it's too high, anything under 350 seems to be ok so long as your upload is sufficient.

Good luck finding games, and failing that, the liscence allows you to play your copy amongst multiple computers at lans, just be sure to try get them to buy it if it's popular and who knows, maybe oneday the player base will increase.

almost none of us here anymore.

you should try to play on the US games 350 ping is ideal but you can go to a max of 450 ping any higher and its too laggy but you will find some us noobs that cant play againts a ping of over 100

aussies stopped playing ages ago. was just too much stuffing around to get a game going. i went back to supreme commander, which is a much better game anyway.
