Alternate Reality?

So me and a buddy load up diplomacy and play against 3 AI's. We get in game and the ship speed is a bit to slow so we exit and reset the ship speed to normal(from slow)

This is where transwarp doorways start to open. We both load back in and start playing, everything is going fine until I see that the AI has taken over a ice planet next to me friends desert home planet.

I say over the voip "Hey dude orange just took your ice planet"

My friend replies " What do ya mean I still own that planet...no enemy ships in it."

Furthermore we were on the same team so we could see each others ships yet we had variances in ship type/number present in any given system contray to what we were seeing.

This was worse than just lag it was like we were in alternate realites! Anyone have this happen to them?

I've experienced that in a couple of games. The fastest way to reproduce it, is to have one of the players to use a trainer.

It's called being out of sync.

 

A plague on RTS gaming. There is no real way to stop it but to have a good connection and send your logs to Ironclad.

I've had a map where stars are quite far apart but on occasion ships move from one star to another off a phase lane at normal speed.  I have only seen it in Diplomacy.
