What OS are you running?

How did you contact customer service or support?

Did you send and email to support@stardock.com?

I have two computers running WidowBlinds 7, one is an XP Home 32 bit system and have no problems with the taskbar and start menu on that system.

What were the thing they said to check?

Did you completely uninstall windowblinds 5 before running with windowblinds 7?

Moved to support.

I recommend you........

uninstall > reboot > turn off anti-virus/spyware > click blue button > preferences > reset data > allow Impulse to update (may have to close and restart impulse) > reinstall > reboot > turn on anti-virus/spyware > run windowblinds

Yes I uninstalled the previous version and I have reinstalled this version 4 time and I also reinstalled impulse and still the taskbar and the start menu will not skin. I really don't know what to do at this point. I have not heard back from the tech. dept. as of today. Thanks for all that has replied to my help post.

What type of computer, laptop or desktop?

What make and model # if you know it?

What I see I'm going to take that is on board graphics that you are running and not a graphics card, is that correct?

Is it all WindowBlinds that the taskbar start menu won't skin?

Have you gone in and adjusted any setting in WindowBlinds?

I have a Dell desktop. It is a Dell Dimension 2400. Parts of IE wont skin but right now I'm not too worried about that. The only settings I changed are the one that says under xp specific "enable if you have currupted titlebar buttons and text backgrounds" I did check that one. I have also unchecked it to see if that was the problem but it is not. How can I provide a screenshot?  It will take me some time to do all that Lantec said to do however I have done all the steps with the exception of " click on the blue button" Can you tell me what blue button? Please forgive me but I am trying to take everything in and understand it so I do everything correctly. Thanks again soooo much!!!!

The blue button that Lantec refers to is in the upper left hand corner of Impulse, just above the left and right arrows.  Click it and a drop down menu should show, then select preferences,  then select 'reset data'.

Parts of IE won't skin.

You can get a screenshot by getting up on screen what you want to show, then hit the key on you keyboard labled 'Prt Scr'.  Then open Paint and select paste, it should past in the screenshot you just did.  Save it using any name you wish.  Now you will new a program to host the screenshot, most folks use ImagieShack, it's free.  Set up an account an follow the instruction to host your imagie.

Here is a link to the WinCustomize Wiki that will wall you through the process.  http://wiki.wincustomize.com/wiki/Screenshots:_How_to_make_one

It sort of sound like you have a bad download of WindowBlinds.
