Here we go:  there aren't alot of demigod clans out there.  The game CURRENTLY has less than 500 people that play together at any given time online.  I can't back that number up, but I think that's fairly reasonable based on what I've seen.  Out of those 500 or so players, many of those players many have bad connections and some outright cheat.  You probably don't want to play with them.  I probably don't either.  So, getting a group of people together that don't cheat or have bad connections is a pretty good idea IMO.  Plus, coordinating a team in demigod is MUCH easier if you have voicechat.  Let's do that too. So - players with good connections + players that use voicechat (at least to listen in) = clan pacov.  Its pretty much an all welcome scenario so long as you fit that criteria.  Here's the info you need to join voicechat:

Once you join the vent, PM someone in clan pacov.  Each of our channels are password protected but there are plenty of public channels to idle in and people clan pacov check out the pub channels from time to time.

Here's what we deliver.  You get more balanced games with people that don't cheat.  I regularly balance games out to encourage more people to play with and against us.  

Ask questions if you have them and any clan pacov specific discussions belong here (casual, serious, etc).

Clan Pacov Mission Statement:

Clan pacov isn't about forming team super premade.  Its about frequently getting fun games going and occassionally getting some really competitive games going as well.  We welcome like minded, non-devisive individuals interested in playing games on a semi-regular basis.  We don't welcome people who cheat at games.  We will mix up teams to make things fun.  We will all generally be using voicechat.  We will play with and against each other.  We will play with and against other clans.

FYI - the clan channel is most active between 6PM-2AM EST daily, but people are on all hours of the days

Well Pacov I went out to a store but couldn't find Sins :'(   Ahh well just bought it on impulse downloading it and entrenchement now...(got the bundle ^.^) so diplomacy comes out the 9th right?

I just got diplomacy and am able to load it up and play.  Do you get a BT just for purchasing the game?

Cool Mauxe - I really hope to play a few sins games tomorrow.  Me, hedgie, you, n shiro if we lucky... even if its just against ai for a tune up.

 

We had 3 clan pacov v GM tonight. They were fun. Game 1 - pacov = way too agressive and dies TOO much.  GM wins.  Game 2 - clan pacov plays smart and cautious.  Clan pacov CRUSHES.  Game 3 - GM adapts and comes up with a crazy strat to support murdering rook over and over.  It works.  Clan pacov does not adapt fast enough. Clan pacov gets whooped.  All fun games.  FYI - clan pacov included 4 truly clan pacov players.  Clan GM included 3 clan GM players and 1 pick up on vent (though their pick up wasn't a joke). And there we go.  Fun stuff

Well, after getting schooled in a random CP game last night IO fired up Sins to try out diplomacy.  Didn't get too far as I was pretty tired but started to get the rust out.  Impulse gives the option to run either game and then you can opt to switch to an xpac at the starting screen - does that mean that if I load Diplomacy I am loading the base game plus both expansions?

I have some plans with the family tonight and will be watching the game later, but I'll try to be on to see if we can get some MP going.

Yea great games Pacov, I was only there for the last 2 games though, the first one was 2 GM members.  It was fun playing a competitive game on leviathan instead of cataract for once. I was lost the first one I played; completely goes against my nature to not capture the side portals.  We should definitely do it again sometime though, do you usually play that late at night or was that a special situation because it was Saturday?

I'm usually not on that late, though if I'm on that late, its because it is saturday.  :)  typical hours for me to make an appearance are between 6pm-2am.  It was fun playing with you guys as well.

me, kalel, trouser, and jon picked up bioshock 2. 

I can't remember if i commented on it here or not, but I played the favormod 1.86 version.  This is more or less a demo and is REALLY imbalanced (which exxcentric was clear about).  Anyway, until the final version of that comes out, I'll only be hosting favormod 1.7 games.  So, install 1.86 to try it out if you like, but I won't be hosting or joining favormod games unless its 1.7. 

I've been playing a little of the battlefield bad company 2 beta.  I like it, but it really feels like battlefield 2.5.  I like what I'm seeing and enjoy the destructable environments and the unlock system is reasonably fun.  So far, jon and I have that.  Trouser should get his key for that tomorrow. 

And last, I haven't played a game of sins diplomacy in awhile.  I really want to, too. Pretty much 95% of my games with that have been players vs computers.  So, we can start out like that to learn diplomacy and then get into vs matches if enough of us are interested.  Maccilia, hedgie, mauxe, maybe shiro, and I have diplomacy.

And for those of you into supcom - gL-omicron loves it.  Him and teseer and a few others keep getting supcom games going.  I bought it awhile back but don't have it install atm.

I'll prob be watching the superbowl but either get on at halftime or after the game. Too many freaking games...

That's what I did... not sure if thats required or not, though.  I'd say err on the side of caution and delete it completely.

I loves Bioshock and I am sure I will pick up Bioshock2..  but is it planned to be a MP game? 
Also - looked over Bad Company and I just don't know.  Not sure another FPS like that is my thing.
last one I picked up was Borderlands.  Different genre but still..   I am going to hone my SOASE skills and my DG skills (need MUCH honing) for a bit.  I was toying with SupCom but have not bitten yet.

It has MP but I doubt I'll be playing it much as MP.  We'll give it a shot anyway. 

I really enjoy bad company 2 at this point.  Getting sick of the 1 map in the beta, but it gives me that "must keep playing" vibe because I'm looking forward to the next unlocked item, etc.  Plus playing with a squad of 5 that knows what the fug they are doing would be a blast. I like it MUCH more borderlands (which I got bored with after awhile because of the limited skill trees).

I will be.  Glad to hear you are picking this up!  Let me know once you have the beta installed.  On steam I am eme223 or pacov.  One or the other.  It's been a little bit of a bummer that I've been able to play bfbc2 and not too many of my buds have been available. 

I finally got a game of sins in with hedgie and mac.  we did 3 humans vs unallied ais.  Should have been a joke, but me and mac struggle a little bit.  Hedgie did just fine :)  Looking forward to more games.  My current fav is bfbc2 atm though.
