First of all, let me say as a person I am extremely calm and detached. So don't take this post as a rant; merely an observation.

So I come back after a moderate hiatus(6 months or so). I managed to get into a few games yesterday late night/early morning: won one, lost one is all I remember hehe, and they were fun. So I log in today and attempt to join a game and get kicked repeatedly. I manage to get them to wait for a moment and explain that I am from pre-reset and that I wasn't a noob. I think they didn't like that I played TB even though I did just fine using him in other games. The other on my team had picked oak so I figured the next guy would pick a melee tank/dps. Didn't get a chance, got the boot again cuz my teammate asked heh.

As I stated before, I'm not mad or annoyed, this is just an observation. The funny part is, some of these people I had played with before and counted friends when I played regularly heh.

I've never played against anyone that bad before. Honestly, the AI is so terrible. If you save your damage skills the AI will assume it's winning till you nuke it. Works every time, even on nightmare mode. I've only seen 1 player that bad, and it was on pantheon.

<Sigh> Horrid memories. I suck at Demigod.

On the main topic, I think I'm lucky; out of all my three-four games, I have not once been kicked. I feel sorry for the people who get hated on because people assume they are bad or stupid because they pick a character that isnt the easiest to use; dang hooligans.

just to throw my penny in the pot:

this is quite typical for round here.

i've been here since beta and never considered my self paticularly good or well known, but i had fun and most importantly so did we all.

slowly but surely, and as much as i fought here on the forums againts such notions, the fun bled out, more due to elitism more then others doomsaying of bugs.

as of the last reset i've officially retired. it's a sad sign when you're having more fun bantering on the ban game then actually in the game you on the forum for... anyway and by the bye...

i recognise quite a few of you and always thought you got on but to hear that well known characters have the same issue as untold numbers is startling!

talk about biting your nose to spite your face.

so you're putting off older players and then encouraging newb bashing (which is just plain hypocritical if you can't see it) is only going to result in futher constricting of the community.

bah, i'll check back after clanwars or what ever is implemented and hopefully there'll be a happy place for everyone and enough people left to actually enjoy the game...
