Hope you don't think me a complete moron for asking this but is there an easy way to hide all my program icons on the desktop with out deleting all the shortcuts so all that is there is Object Dock?

Giterdone1 have you looked at Fences? Click on the link and see if it won't work. 
Right click the desktop, go to view and uncheck "show desktop icons"
This works for me but it might depend on your OS.
Thanks G3mpi3. It actually clicked in a few minutes ago. Must have had a temporary power surge whip through the "Don't be such a boger eatin' moron section of my brain" Oh well back to normal "Doh!"
