Stats on the Lightning Balls?
Hey, can somebody post the stats on the Lightning balls? It looks like they do a lot of damage. But I'm curious how they compare to Shamblers and Yetis.

They do slightly more damage than spirits. It's about 20-25 damage per second.
They do a lot more damage than Shambers/Yetis but Yetis have more HP (and don't die after 30 seconds) and Shamblers have an AoE attack.
Basically, they are pretty much useless until you get their level 15 ability. So either get 5 points in a row starting at level 11 or don't get them at all ![]()
That's what I've gathered from playing him in single player. It seems he has a lot of useless abilities as well, meaning the only viable build will probably be chain lightning + blast off => max out pokeballs (which will never happen in a real game)
Do you have numbers? My experience is they are pretty useful when combined with idols, king of the minotuars, and the Gain mana ability. The key is managing your mana by knowing when to cast them.
I'm just looking for specific numbers on the Pokeballs if anybody has them. Thanks.
The only stat that matters is that they MIGHT be equal to spirits/shamblers/yetis etc in terms of damage (not hp) and they are temporary.
wtf is the point of gimping them by making them temporary if they are not more powerful to compensate?
Maybe if lightning proc worked, but it doesn't.
Not to mention they explode for massive damage later on.
Ball of Lightning I,II,III,IV
Health: 600/650/700/750
Damage: 20/25/30/35
Attack rate: 1.7 secs
So basically all first 4 levels are practically useless, until you get the lvl 15 skill. It only make sense if the explosion effect was across all levels but varying in strength especially when the max health increase from each level is only 50 health. Which is what i might do in my mod and alter the level 15 skill slightly.
Useless?! Hardly! 59.5 DPS!!! That's obscene.
Double the 30 dps you get Yetis and... and more than the 44 dps from Shamblers+Compost.
They are not permanent fixtures like those guys, but quite helpful if you time them correctly. The main thing is conserving your mana and using the Gain Mana spell as often as possible.
i think your forgetting about armor mitigating the minions' dmg. Which will drop their dmg output by half roughly. ALso, their max health is rlly bad... they can be taken out with ease.
For reference, does anyone know the hp at each level?

- Oculus: Blast Off range now increases from 15 flat to 15/16/18/20.
- Oculus: Brain Storm clears negative effects.
- Oculus: Ball Lightning health increased from 600/650/700/750 to 600/765/930/1095.
- Fixes for Russian voice localizations.
600/765/930/1095.
So:
spike wave + ground spikes = dead lightning balls
rain of ice + any level fire nova or circle of flame = dead lightning balls
ooze for 8 seconds = dead lightning balls
mines = dead lightning balls
hammer slam = dead lightning balls
mist for 9 seconds = dead lightning balls
They can survive oak's surge of faith and LE's bat swarm.
The only DGs that will have any trouble with them are sedna and possibly DA.
Thus, (if we take into account, AoE > Minimum health) we can calculate that Ball Lightning is equal, to FAIL
The way I use them is to increase attack speed of my minions. And everyone expect ice tb and mass charm-ereb gots trouble with lightning spamming minions
I dunno if I'm just losing my mind, but they seem to be able to attack moving targets a lot better then most minions.
But, like I said, I might be nuts.
