It seems giving missions (to players or pirates) in Multiplayer games causes a desync. Usually it doesn't crash right away but easily can down the road.

Same here, single player Vasari pressing the give mission button is instant minidump in beta 3.  Haven't tried yet with other races.

My game instantly mini-dumped twice today during a lan multiplayer match, both times were immediately after I issued an 'attack planet' mission to the pirates (I think both times I offered a ridiculous sum as a reward).

Yea guys, I'm running Windows XP on my laptop w nvidia 7600 card 4gigs of ddr2, it blanks on startup as well. The point of interest is, I actually ran diplomacy fine before the January patch and now it gives a minidump message in windows. Game still appears to continue to run though, I have to close it down. Graphics issue maybe?

If you're having crashes/minidumps with Diplomacy make sure to send them to sinssupport@stardock.com

:P  I can't seem to find where sins puts mini-dumps. I used to know but my lack of getting mini-dumps has made me forget.

droideka95 try C:\Documents and Settings\'user name'\Local Settings\Temp\Sins Dump folder

note the local settings folder is hidden so you have to un-hide hidden file & folders in folders options.

note 2 the 'user name' is your windows user name

hope this helps

I as well have minidumps whenever I send missions (sometimes as TEC and Advent as well as Vasari) And a huge thing that crashed my game was this-

I was giving an ally a mission to kill player X. Player X died and quit the game about 1 second before I clicked the send mission button. The entire game crashed.
