Which programs in Object Desktop are you having problems with?

currently BootSkin Vista, cuz that's I have tried so far

BootSkins even going back to XP has been  hit or miss with working correctly.

I would not try running programs that have Vista in their name on a Win 7 system, all though I believe LogonStudio Vista does work.

It might help if you listed which programs work and which don't.

This leads me to believe that you've only tried BootSkin Vista...?

Bootskin will not work on Windows 7, 32 or 64 bit.

The boot time is so short and the 7s boot screen is better than in the past so not much need in changing it.

Dreams will not run, without random explorer.exe errors for me, on the 64 bit flavor of vista and 7.    Also multiplicity but that is a dead horse anyway.

If you have errors with Deskscapes please report them.

As for Multiplicity, that works and has worked on 64 bit OSes since the initial release.

Not sure why your x64 isn't working with dreamscapes, but I can tell you that my x64 (Vista Home Premium) works great with dreamscapes (v3) and I have yet to have it fail!.

You are indeed passing on bad information here regarding Multiplicity, are you sure you are not confused with some other product?

I don't know who would have told you it was a closed project but thats completely incorrect and given how it works and what it does I would be very surprised it managed to hose multiple machines.  It is used on a large number of machines (32 and 64 bit) at stardock and I have never heard of one being hosed by it being installed.  It even worked on every single beta build of Windows 7.

I have to disagree with programs not having 64-bit compatability.  I've seen them from Stardock with 64-bit processes running... (wbvista.exe mainly.) Considering most of them don't need to be constantly running, there's no need for a 64-bit version.

As said above, 7's boot screen is fine the way it is, no need to change it.  As for other programs, as a precaution I've always googled the program to make sure there aren't compatability issues with Win7 before downloading it.  A couple extra steps, but saves a bunch of computer headaches in the future... (a couple are common sense; you wouldn't install TweakVista on 7 or vice versa for example)
