Want to order WB7

But what is mycolors?

It seems like mycolors and WB7 do the same thing? I looked around and didnt see much explanation of what the differences were.  Ive also noticed the stardock sites a bit confusing on whats included in Object destkop, one page says Fences Pro, Tweak7, WB7, and most disturbingly no ObjectDock in the suite?

 

Can someone clarify these questions for me before i order, im deciding between Object Desktop(if it has the dock), or just WB

Object Desktop does not include Object Dock (which is free).  If you own Object Desktop, you get a discount on Object Dock Plus.

MyColors includes a windowblind, a wallpaper, an icon package, and a few gadgets.

A windowblind is just a windowblind, and sometimes it has a wallpaper.

Also, you can get many, many windowblinds skins for free, but MyColors skins cost $19.95 each. So that's something to consider. Object Desktop subscribers get discounts on MyColors themes. Also they get 4 free MyColors skins per year.

ah yeah, makes WB the obvious choice then

 

Now to decide if i want all the other stuff that comes with object desktop

I tend not to have ANY desktop icons so fences may never get used, ill think about it but def have WB on my purchase list now!

i actually wouldnt have much use for the dock, i only wanted it if it came with OD

i pin everything to the start menu for minimalism, and fences would be handy but im not sure if im willing to shell out 50+ canadian for the suite when most of the programs i wont use, y'know

 

WB id def use, since im starting to see some really nice skins coming and i dont want to do any file replacements in windows to make VS's work, so WB is logical. 

 

Im taking a few days to think about it/browse around the galleries, ill def be ordering WB, just whether its in OD is the question.

Just keep in mind that during the year you will get all the updates and any new apps if you subscribe to Object Desktop.

dont i get WB updates for a year just for buying WB?

as for new Apps, most of OD isnt useful to me, only WB/Fences would be used, fences being iffy as desktop icons bother me

WB standalone gives you updates to the next version. This means WB 7 would give you updates to WB 7.9, WB 8 would not come free.

Fences gives you the ability to sort icons, then just double click the desktop to hide/show them. Fences has a free version, I believe.

And keep in mind, most Stardock apps have trial versions, in case you want to see if you want them.

Hmm so to clarify...WB gives you unlimited updates up to Ver 8.0+, and 7.0 was just released

OD Gives you updates to any ver for a year?

And yes ive been playing with the trials here and there and so far the only two that tempt me are fences and Wb7, and like i said before i hate having D-Top icons

Edit: Well damn, i just looked at deskscapes 3, and its pretty damn nice with all the effects.  Just wanted to say i hate you all for making me buy OD...just kidding :P

ive ordered it, and remote desktopped to start installing them, Impulse is fast!

Secondly, can i install these apps on my laptop also, i only use 2 pc's total.
